Terms of Service
Last updated: April 16, 2026
These Terms govern your use of Gradr at gradr.tech (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What Gradr does
Gradr is a personal productivity tool. It reads job postings, scores them against a profile you provide, and helps you track applications in a pipeline. Evaluations are produced by Anthropic’s Claude model using your own Anthropic API key.
2. Your account
- You sign in with Google. You are responsible for keeping that Google account secure.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use Gradr.
- One account per person. Do not share your account with others.
3. Bring your own API key (BYOK)
- Gradr requires an Anthropic API key. All evaluation and CV-generation requests are billed to your Anthropic account, not ours.
- You are solely responsible for any charges Anthropic bills to your account, and for keeping your API-key usage within Anthropic’s usage limits and policies.
- You may delete your saved key at any time from Settings. Deleting the key stops new evaluations; evaluations already saved remain in your account.
4. Acceptable use
When using Gradr you agree not to:
- Submit content that is unlawful, that infringes someone else’s rights, or that you don’t have the right to submit.
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, reverse-engineer the Service, or probe other users’ data.
- Use Gradr to spam, scrape job sites in a way that violates their terms, or run automated applications at scale.
- Upload malware, or use the Service to harass, defame, or impersonate any person or organisation.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
5. Third-party content
Gradr fetches content from job portals (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, and others) and from the Anthropic API. That content belongs to its respective owners and is subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party content, outages, or changes to their terms.
6. AI-generated output
- Scores, summaries, tailored CVs, and suggestions are produced by a large language model (Claude). They can be wrong, outdated, or biased.
- Gradr is a decision support tool — not a substitute for your own judgement, for legal advice, or for career advice. Do not rely on it as the sole basis for employment decisions.
- You are responsible for reviewing any CV, message, or summary before sending it to an employer.
7. Intellectual property
- You retain ownership of the content you put into Gradr (your CV, notes, and the job URLs you evaluate).
- You grant Gradr the minimum licence needed to run the Service — storing your content, showing it back to you, and forwarding it to Anthropic as part of an evaluation you initiate.
- “Gradr”, the logo, and the site design are owned by us and may not be used without written permission.
8. Service availability
Gradr is provided on a best-effort, as-is basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time, and we may impose rate limits to keep the Service healthy. We do not guarantee uptime.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gradr and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, missed job offers, or lost data, arising out of your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim related to the Service is capped at the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Because Gradr is free, this cap is usually zero.
11. Termination
You may stop using Gradr at any time and request account deletion by emailing support@gradr.tech. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially violate these Terms or if continued operation would expose us to legal risk.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we will notify you in-app. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the new Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from them will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
